Internships
The Office of Congressman Latimer has an immediate need to hire an intern in our District Offices in White Plains and Co-Op City in a full-time capacity* for Fall, 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter by August 28, 2026. Once the application period closes, the office will contact the best qualified candidate to begin our interview process.

Job Expectations:
Interns serve an important role for the office by providing support with office administration, communications, and legislative research. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various areas (e.g. communications, constituent services & administrative support, district operations) and duties may vary.
Salary Level:
Intern compensation is based on the total hours worked from September through December 19. Total earnings will depend directly on whether the intern maintains a full-time or part-time schedule; for context, an intern salary commensurate with hours spent during this period will be approximately $1,000, depending on the final number of hours.
Job Duties for a District Office Intern:
Answer incoming calls and capture constituent casework requests to ensure consideration by the Congressman’s office
Draft correspondence and memoranda to assist District office operations
Assist the District staff to complete constituent casework activities
Assist with planning and execution of the Congressman’s public events in the District
Accompany the Congressman and/or district staff to public forums, meetings, and events

Preferences:
Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior constituent service or customer relationship management experience is preferred
A demonstrated interest in public service
