The Town of Rye and the Rye Town Park Commission (RTPC) propose to replace the North Gate Bathhouse and install an ADA-compliant ramp at the North Gate. This area of RTP lacks modern ADA-compliant features and has endured repeated storm and flooding damage over time. By replacing the North Gate Bathhouse that has been compromised by years of storm damage, and adding an accessible ramp, the RTP will provide the public with a secure and accessible main entry point to the Sound shore.
Federal nexus: The project has a federal nexus because the funding provided is consistent with purposes authorized in 42 U.S.C. 5305(a)(2) and 5305(a)(4).
