The Town of Greenburgh, through its Consolidated Water District, will replace the Fairview Storage Tank at an estimated cost of $4.5 million. The existing elevated water tank is at the end of its lifecycle and will be replaced with a Westchester County Health Department approved new water tank, providing continued safe and reliable drinking water to residents in the Town, and particularly those residing within the Fairview portion of the Town. The Fairview Storage Tank is one of six water supply storge tanks servicing more than 20,000 residents, and businesses and institutional uses, with an existing capacity of 400,000 gallons. 

Federal nexus: The project has a federal nexus because the funding provided is consistent with purposes authorized by Section 1452 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300j-12.
