Amount Requested: $2,800,000

The Village of Larchmont seeks funding support to replace lead service lines as part of the Village's public water system in order to comply with the EPA's Lead and Copper Rule and deadline of October 2034 to complete all replacements. The total cost for these replacements is estimated to cost approximately $3.5 million over the next eight years, inclusive of inflation. This project is a priority for the Village as it strives to uphold environmental protection and public health of its residents in the face of aging drinking water infrastructure. 

Federal nexus: The project has a federal nexus because the funding provided is consistent with purposes authorized by Section 1452 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300j-12.
