Amount requested: $450,000

The Village of Scarsdale is requesting $450,000 to acquire and upfit an Incident Command Vehicle to be deployed by the Scarsdale Police Department. This vehicle will be equipped with the appropriate incident response equipment to act as a mobile command center for large scale events or emergencies, allowing for a significant time reduction for incident command setup in the event of a catastrophic incident. The technology within the vehicle would integrate and communicate directly with the Department’s Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS), allowing this vehicle to incorporate seamlessly with the Village’s existing technology and infrastructure. 

Federal nexus: The project has a federal nexus because the funding provided is for purposes authorized by section 1701(b)(9) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. §10381(b)(9)).
